Many people ask us how hard is it to fly.
Learning to operate the Flyboard is much easier and intuitive than you might think. Once you have applied the instructions given to you, anyone can Flyboard within the first 5-10 minutes in the water.
First, we will go over in detail (on land) our instructions for safety and the basics for learning to Flyboard. Then, once you are in the water, we will have you practice those same instructions to prepare you to fly.
Generally, in another 10-15 minutes, new riders are feeling very comfortable in the air. Learning to operate the Flyboard is much easier than you might think.
After only 15-20 minutes you should accomplish full basic control of your movement. A Madcity Flyboard instructor sits on the PWC at all times and controls your available propulsion allowing you to gradually build your skill set and confidence.
For those who are athletic and have great balance, you'll get up on your first few tries and fly. Those with less experience will still get up quickly, but may have less control in the beginning. Learning to fly in control takes very little time.
As you get better and better, we'll show you some cool things to do and if you add your own creativity, Flyboarding can be limiteless.
Find your balance and you will be flying like Ironman through the air and
swimming through the water like a dolphin.
One thing is for sure, you’ll love it and everyone agrees: it’s highly addictive.
Movement and control is accomplished by using your feet to tilt the Flyboard up, down, left, and right. You could compare it to a powered wakeboard, but much easier, safer, and intuitive.
